- Advisors share information with class
- Give feedback to the principal
- Demonstrate being a model citizen
Math Night, 10/9
- Will give scholars (in teachers’ mailboxes) a flyer to share with their class about Math Night on October 9th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM
- Math games and math museum
- Pizza served 4:30-5:30, games/museum entire 2 hours
- Gym and cafeteria
Discover U Week, 10/6 to 10/10
- Think about what want to be when grown up
- Scholars shared what might want to be when grown up: teacher, principal, football player, artist, mechanic, chef, principal, oncologist, doctor, basketball player, track and field athlete
- Spirit days that go along with each day next week:
o Monday’s Theme: Classroom to Career
o Spirit Day: Wild about our futures, wear wild socks and wacky hats
o Tuesday’s Theme: Lead your Community
o Spirit Day: Dress like a role model or a professional, such as parents, teachers, community members, or a specific occupation you admire
o Wednesday’s Theme: Bright Futures
o Spirit Day: Wear bright colors and sun glasses
o Thursday’s Theme: College
o Spirit Day: Rock some college gear or college colors
Recess Ideas – what scholars enjoy and/or want to see
- Soccer (net and balls), track, volleyball (net and ball), dodgeball, softball, kickball (rubber ball, bases), basketball, short and long jump ropes, hop scotch (by spinner and/or on the track)
